Faculty of Social and Political Sciences University of Indonesia in collaboration with Faculty of Arts The University of Melbourne Australia organizes an International Collaboration Class entitled “Is Indonesia Rising?”. The International Collaboration Class is intended for FISIP UI and University of Melbourne master students with 17 students with 12 students from University of Melbourne and 5 students of FISIP UI.
Held for eight days (July 12 – July 19, 2017), this series of collaborative class activities has 3 main agendas: class sessions, socio-cultural activities and excursions to the Australian Embassy and Foreign Affairs Office. The speakers who will give a lecture in the class are Dr. Evi Fitriani (University of Indonesia), Dr. Dave McRae (University of Melbourne), and Dr. Richard Chauvel (University of Melbourne).
International Collaboration Class has been opened by the Dean of FISIP UI, Dr. Arie Setiabudi Soesilo, in the 1st floor meeting room of Miriam Budiarjo Research Center on Wednesday (12/07). In his speech, Dean of FISIP UI expressed his appreciation to Professor Mark Considine and his team for their dedication and support for this collaboration class. He also hopes that the collaborative class which is a pilot project can later be developed by widening the focus of learning which reflects the interests of both faculties. Furthermore, the welcoming of International Collaboration Class participants will be conducted directly at the Australian Embassy office on Friday night (14/07).
