Request Procedure for School Visit

FISIP UI always welcomes visits from SMA/MA/equivalent schools from various backgrounds and diverse regions. From 2018 till now, Public Relations Office of FISIP UI has received more than 100 school visits.

This is one of FISIP UI’s contributions in the field of information openness for the community and community service. Not only deliver material presentations related to the admission and the profile of study programs at FISIP UI, but we also provide motivational encouragement and tips in pursuing dreams, one of which is by becoming part of the academic community of FISIP University of Indonesia

What is the Procedure?

Basically, Public Relations of FISIP UI opens opportunities for schools who want to visit the FISIP UI campus. However, before these activities are carried out, we ask the school to follow the following procedures:

Step 1
Reviewing the Visit Plan

You can plan your school visit by looking at this calendar. This calendar does not reflect FISIP UI activities as a whole and may change at any time following FISIP and UI policies.

 

 

Step 2
Submission of Visit Request
  1. Schools that wish to carry out a visit to FISIP, University of Indonesia, submit an official application letter no later than 1 month before the time of the visit.
  2. The official application letter is addressed to the Public Relations Office of FISIP UI accompanied by the following information:
    • Plan of visit schedule,
    • Number of participants,
    • The mode of transportation to be used and the number of units, and
    • Contact person to coordinate the activities.
  3. The visit letters can be sent via email to fisip@ui.ac.id or can be delivered directly or by post to the FISIP UI Public Relations Unit Office located in Building A Floor 1, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, UI Depok Campus.
Step 3
FISIP UI Public Relations Follow-up

The Public Relations Unit Office of FISIP UI will process the continuation of the submitted letter, then send the visit applicant a reply email containing details and location of the activity.

FISIP UI Public Relations has the right to postpone, cancel or reject the request. Please review the “Terms of School Visit” section below.

Step 4
Welcoming School Visits

The Public Relations Unit Office of FISIP UI welcomes the school visiting group. The program contains a presentation of material related to the introduction of FISIP UI, the flow of admitting new UI students, and a question-and-answer session that students can use to increase their knowledge related to studying at FISIP and UI.

Provisions for School Visit Program
  • Please follow applicable health protocols and must be in good health
  • Students, teachers and companion must have been vaccinated with boosters and enter the FISIP UI environment by scanning Peduli Lindungi QR code before entering the building.
  • The FISIP UI environment is a smoke-free and pet-friendly area. If there are students/participants who have a history of animal allergies (such as cats), please let us know
  • FISIP UI asks the cooperation from the school to arrive at the agreed time, and always maintain order and cleanliness of the environment while in the FISIP UI area
  • Visits cannot be held on Saturdays/Sundays, national holidays, collective leave, or special/VIP/internal activities involving all FISIP UI staff/teaching staff
  • The recommended maximum number of visitors is 70 people, if more, please consult with FISIP UI Public Relations first
  • Public Relations of FISIP UI has the right to postpone, cancel, or reject requests for visiting activities if the conditions in the previous point occur, or as a result of the lack of space according to the number of visitors on the schedule
  • Requests for postponements, schedule changes or cancellations can be made at the initiative of one of the parties, depending on existing conditions
  • An official reply email from FISIP UI Public Relations can be used as a legal follow-up regarding visiting program that will take place within FISIP UI
  • If the group wishes to visit a facility/building/unit outside FISIP UI (UI Library UPT, UI Hospital, etc.), they are requested to immediately send a letter requesting a similar visit to the head of the relevant facility/unit
  • The visit request letter sent to the Public Relations of FISIP UI is only valid for activities that will take place in the FISIP UI area
  • Please be wise when using vehicle horns within the area of the University of Indonesia. Groups are not permitted to use buses with loud horns or “telolet” horns. If urgent conditions force the group to use a bus with a similar horn, we and the security team have the right to remind the group not to use that horn while in the UI area.
  • If the group is having lunch on the road, we ask that the rubbish from the vehicle/bus be disposed of before entering the UI area, considering the limited waste processing capacity for internal use
  • Our security and cleanliness team has the right to remind the group if there is something that is not in accordance with the regulations within the UI environment
  • To speed up the process of leaving the UI area, groups are advised to use Mandiri e-money electronic payment cards

Vehicle Routes for School Visit Agenda

  • Ask the school group to drop off the participants at the location that has been prepared.
  • Let’s work together to maintain a conducive environmental and traffic atmosphere.
  • The group must prioritize priority vehicles such as fire engines, ambulances, VVIP/VIP vehicles, University of Indonesia Yellow Buses, Convoys and/or Vehicles for certain purposes according to the considerations of POLRI/PLK UI.
  • Let’s respect the rights of pedestrians/cyclists together.

Drop-Off Area & Vehicle Parking Area

The group drop-off location and main parking are in the area of Purnomo Prawiro Multipurpose Hall, University of Indonesia. We ask that the group follow the directions of the UI security officers who are at the location.
